Dramawise Reimagined provides Australian teachers with a conceptual and practical framework to specifically address ‘The Elements of Drama’, the first component of essential knowledge for Drama in the Australian Curriculum:The Arts. Not surprisingly many teachers have asked for professional learning workshops to help them use Dramawise Reimagined in their classrooms to greatest effect.
To launch this new resource John and Brad have prepared an introductory two hour workshop to be given at National and State Drama conferences during 2017. In addition they have teamed with a group of experienced drama leaders and facilitators in Australia to design and deliver workshops to meet the specific needs of groups of teachers across the country. These workshops will provide educators with practical activities to further engage with and access all aspects of Dramawise Reimagined. Early planning has identified workshops addressing the following topics:
- Making the old new again: Learning to manage the Elements of Drama
- Leading the Process Dramas in Dramawise Reimagined
- Learning through Playtexts: The Dramawise Reimagined Suite
- Teaching the Elements of Drama through Shakespeare
- Dramatic meaning: traditional and contemporary meaning making in Drama and Theatre.
Workshops will be offered to teachers, schools, clusters of schools or arts organisations from July 2017. If you would like to register your interest for any of these workshops, or have ideas for bespoke workshops for your community, please complete the information sheet below and we will follow up with you directly.
